940 mm Glossy Translucent Vinyl for Backlit Signage, 120 µm is a self-adhesive printable PVC media designed for light boxes, illuminated signs and backlit commercial displays. Its glossy surface and translucent construction support printed graphics that can be viewed with backlighting while remaining suitable for daytime visual presentation.

■ What Is Translucent Vinyl for Backlit Signage?

Translucent vinyl is a printable self-adhesive media designed to transmit light through the printed graphic rather than completely block the illumination behind it.

When installed on a suitable light box, illuminated sign face or other compatible translucent surface, backlighting can pass through the vinyl and printed image to create an illuminated advertising graphic.

This makes translucent vinyl different from blockout printable vinyl. Blockout media is intended to reduce or conceal the background, while translucent media is selected when controlled light transmission is part of the finished graphic design.

This 940 mm version uses 120 µm glossy PVC with acrylic adhesive and a double PE-coated release liner. It is supplied in a 45 m roll and supports solvent, eco-solvent and UV printing workflows.
