Glossy cold lamination film with liner is a transparent, pressure-sensitive PVC overlaminate applied to printed graphics without heat. The glossy surface enhances color saturation, contrast
and image clarity, while the film provides an additional protective layer over the printed surface.
Jiu Mao Industrial Co., Ltd. has manufactured cold lamination film and large-format
printing materials in Taiwan since 1998. This glossy series is supplied in 940, 1295 and 1550 mm widths for distributors, wholesalers, importers and printing material suppliers requiring standard, OEM or private-label
solutions.
Key Benefits of Glossy Cold Lamination Film
- Enhanced
visual impact: Increases surface gloss and helps printed colors appear more vivid and detailed.
- Surface protection: Helps protect graphics from scratches, dirt, moisture and damage caused by regular
handling.
- Heat-free application: Uses pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive and does not require thermal lamination equipment.
- Stable release liner: The PE-coated
liner protects the adhesive before application and supports controlled film handling.
- Multiple roll widths: Available in 940, 1295 and 1550 mm widths for different large-format production requirements.
Glossy Lamination Film Sizes & Specifications
All three current models use the same 80 µm high-gloss PVC film, pressure-sensitive
acrylic adhesive, PE-coated release liner and 45 m roll length. The primary differences are roll width, product weight and packaging size.
All listed models have a published shelf life
of 12 months under recommended storage conditions and are manufactured in Taiwan. Exact product weight and packaging dimensions vary by width.
Suitable Printed Substrates
& Applications
Glossy cold lamination film can be applied over compatible printed materials when a high-gloss appearance and general surface protection are required.
Compatible Printed Substrates
- Photo paper and photographic prints
- Printable vinyl and self-adhesive graphics
- PVC sheets and display materials
- Posters and large-format printed media
Typical Applications
- Advertising
posters and promotional graphics
- Retail, POP and exhibition displays
- Photographic and presentation graphics
- Indoor and outdoor signage applications
How to Choose the Correct Roll Width
- Confirm the maximum printable width and finished graphic dimensions before selecting the roll.
- Select a lamination roll
wide enough to cover the complete print and the trimming allowance required by your production process.
- Use the 940 mm option for narrower graphics, the 1295 mm option for common large-format production, or the 1550 mm option for wider signage and
display graphics.
- Confirm laminator working width, core compatibility, roll handling capacity and production quantity before ordering.
Glossy Film vs Other
Lamination Finishes
Choose glossy film when vivid color, stronger contrast and a reflective surface are the main priorities. For graphics installed under strong lighting or where glare reduction is required, consider Matte Cold Lamination Film. For a balanced sheen between glossy and matte, explore Semi-Matte Cold Lamination Film.
This standard glossy series is intended primarily for visual enhancement and general print protection. Projects requiring documented UV-protection performance or a defined outdoor exposure specification should review the Anti-UV Glossy Cold Lamination Film series and confirm the required test data before ordering.
Cold Lamination
Application Notes
- Allow printed media to dry or outgas according to the printer, ink and media supplier recommendations before lamination.
- Ensure the printed surface is clean,
dry and free from dust before application.
- Remove the release liner gradually and apply the film using a cold laminator or suitable hand roller.
- Test adhesion, appearance and compatibility on the actual printed substrate before full-volume
production.
- Final outdoor performance depends on the printed media, ink, installation, exposure and environmental conditions.
